75 New Homes Propsed Off Lees Barn Road

Lees Barn Road Radcliffe on Trent New Development 2023

A planning application has been made to create 75 new homes north east of Lees Barn Road in Radcliffe on Trent.

The plans includes the creation of a development which would include flats and two, three and four-bedroom houses off the junction between Nottingham Road and the A52.

The land, known locally as The Paddocks, is currently owned by Nottingham County Council and managed by a tenant farmer.

Consultations will take place concerning the plans before a decision is made in June 2023.

Within the application Rushcliffe Borough Council states: “The proposed illustrative masterplan is a sensitive response to the site and the village edge location, makes positive connections to neighbouring homes and encouraging sustainable travel to the village centre.

“The proposed housing will provide much-needed new rural homes that will serve the community for many years to come.”

Local residents of nearby St Lawrence Boulevard have expressed concerns about the potential development, citing flood risks.
