Radcliffe on Trent residents and businesses have been impacted by a largescale OpenReach outage across Nottinghamshire.
Customers with broadband supplied by BT, Sky, EE, TalkTalk and more are unable to get online due to the effects of a “malicious attack” on the network near to Trent Bridge.
A total of over 10,000 residential and business properties have been without broadband supplies since 13 October, and it may not be resolved for as many as 48 hours, as Openreach replaces 700m of cable.
Beyond Radcliffe, the impact has reached Clifton, Ruddington, Bingham and elsewhere.
Speaking exclusively to BBC, a representative of Openreach said: “We’re really disappointed that people living and working here are bearing the brunt of criminal behaviour and theft from our network.
“These attacks cause significant damage and unacceptable disruption to the lives of local people and put vulnerable people at risk.”
Gamston’s Morrisons store and West Bridgford’s Asda is unable to process all payments, due to the issue.
