A Radcliffe on Trent pensioner was robbed on his doorstep on Thursday evening.
On 16 February a local man had his watch stolen from his wrist after he answered the door to thieves.
A man and a woman are said to have asked for directions to a supermarket before snatching the 79-year-old’s wristwatch and fleeing the scene.
Police investigations are ongoing to find the slim-built white male (6 foot) and white female (5 foot 8) in their 20s involved in the robbery at 7pm on Thursday evening.
The male suspect is said to have dark hair and was wearing dark-coloured clothing at the time. The female suspect had long, light-coloured hair and was wearing a light-coloured coat according to the pensioner’s account.
Nottinghamshire Police’s Detective Karam Kaur said: “This was a despicable crime against an elderly man who was simply trying to help two people who knocked on his door. We are absolutely determined to track down the man and woman responsible for committing this robbery, which has understandably left the victim shaken up.
“It is extremely important that anyone who saw what happened or thinks they might know who these people are based on the descriptions given, gets in touch with us. Any information, however small or insignificant it might seem, could really assist our inquiries, so we’d ask anyone who knows anything to please contact us on 101, quoting incident 684 of 16 February 2023.”
