Radcliffe on Trent has recorded its highest Coronavirus cases in 2021 on the week leading up to England’s ‘Freedom Day’.
According to official UK Government figures, the village and nearby Shelford recorded 47 positive Coronavirus cases in the 7 days leading up to 13th July.
The number indicates an 80.8% increase since the week prior and represents 499 per 100,000 people.

It comes as ‘Freedom Day’ takes place, relaxing many of the law-imposed restrictions on social distancing, face coverings and private gatherings.
Radcliffe on Trent’s Coronavirus cases are similar to other local areas, such as Gamston & Holme Pierrepoint with 48 cases, Bingham with 67 cases and Cotgrave with 64 cases.
Vaccination figures in Radcliffe on Trent and Shelford indicate a high take-up rate, whereby 92.2% of eligible adults have had their first vaccination and 76.7% have had both.
