Radcliffe Covid Rates Among Nottinghamshire’s Highest

Radcliffe on Trent has recorded one of the highest Covid rates in Nottinghamshire in the past week.

Official UK government figures state that the grouped area of Radcliffe on Trent and Shelford recorded 66 cases in the seven days to 22nd November.

The number suggests a 17.9% increase compared to the week prior and represents a rate of 699.2 per 100,000 people.

A number of nearby settlements within the borough have also recorded high rates in the past week.

In the week to 22nd November Gamston & Holme Pierrepoint recorded 50 cases (569.9 rate per 100,000), West Bridgford recorded 50 cases (498.0) and Lady Bay recorded 54 (618.5).

Newark on Trent currently has the highest rates in Nottinghamshire with an infection rate of 1,012.7.

The news comes as a new Omicron variant of Covid has been recorded within Nottingham.

There’s no evidence to suggest this was found in Radcliffe on Trent or Shelford.
