13-Year-Old Threatened in Attempted Robbery

A 13-year-year girl was allegedly threatened to withdraw cash from an ATM in Radcliffe on Trent.

A 15-year-old has been arrested following reports that a girl walking her dog was told to draw out money by a youth carrying a bladed object.

The suspect left empty-handed following this incident, which occurred around 7.30pm on Wednesday 7 July.

Police attended the scene shortly after and made an arrest.

The individual has been released on bail as the investigation continues.

Detective Constable Rich Kinsey, said: “Incidents like this are extremely concerning and we take them incredibly seriously.

“We don’t want anyone to be threatened or to feel scared when out walking and our response officers were instantly on scene to track down a suspect.

“We have been working with the local neighbourhood team and residents can expect to see an increased police presence over the coming days.

“If anyone saw anything suspicious or has any information that could help, please call us on 101 quoting incident 793 of July.”
