Resurfacing work has begun on the stretch of the A52 through Radcliffe on Trent, leading to road closures in and out of Radcliffe.

The first night of overnight essential gas maintenance and road resurfacing the first night took place on the A52 last night (Monday 11th March).

Residents and commuters in Radcliffe are bracing themselves for disruptions as authorities prioritise much-needed repairs and improvements to the crucial thoroughfare.

The stretch of the A52 between Radcliffe RSPCA and Gamston Lings roundabout has been restricted to speeds of 40mph to traffic eastbound and westbound due to potholes and road surface issues since January 2024.

The work is estimated to take three weeks from Monday 11 March with the road closed between 8pm and 6am Monday to Friday.

The current work aims to address the problems that have impacted the road in recent times.

While the overnight timing aims to minimize inconvenience during peak hours, local businesses and residents are urged to plan ahead for potential detours and delays.
