Today all pubs and restaurants with outdoor space, personal care providers and non-essential retail businesses can reopen in Radcliffe on Trent.
UK Government Covid-19 restriction changes for England mean that as of midnight 12th April all applicable business can open to customers.
Many of the village’s pubs, restaurants, hairdressers, barbers and nail salons that were forced to close in December 2020 are now able to accept reservations again.
People in England still cannot socialise indoors with those they do not live with or share a support bubble with, unless otherwise exempt.
Recently renamed Koppa (formerly Silk), The Flower Room and The Potting Shed are amongst the businesses in Radcliffe reopening.
The likes of Piano restaurant, The Chestnut and The Radcliffe will also open to customers in their outdoor space. However, The Atrium and The Royal Oak will not until 17th May.

Yesterday David Hage owner of The Radcliffe pub on Shelford Road was interviewed in relation to these developments for The Times.
To support these changes, Rushcliffe Borough Council owned car parks are now free after 3pm until further notice.
These changes impact the cark parks at both Radcliffe on Trent Health Centre and Walkers Yard.
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Executive Manager for Neighbourhoods Dave Banks spoke to West Bridgford Wire about the initiative, saying: “It’s been incredibly tough times for so many businesses as they have been closed in recent months and we want to support them with this offer with convenient parking for motorists.
“It allows all to park for free after 3pm and give customers even longer to visit their favourite retail outlets, pubs or restaurants that are open again for business.
“We hope residents and visitors take advantage of this free parking to visit our towns and villages to support business owners as they recover from the pandemic.
“Any charges at our car parks are re-invested back into facilities that ensure they are safe and attractive with maintenance on lighting, resurfacing, ticket machines and improvements such as the highly popular RingGo service and electric charging points.”
