Conservative candidate Roger Upton has been elected as Radcliffe on Trent councillor at the 2021 Nottinghamshire County Council poll.
Councillor Upton won by majority with over 54% of the votes, earning the one Radcliffe on Trent seat on the county council.
Labour candidate Martin Murphy claimed the second most, earning a 4.8% share increase for the party compared to the 2017 local election.
There was a 47.7% turnout in the division, which includes Radcliffe on Trent, as well as nearby Adbolton, Bassingfield, Gamston North, Holme Pierrepont, Upper Saxondale and Shelford.
The Conservatives have now won overall control of Nottinghamshire County Council.
Prior to the election, Conservatives led the council with support from independents. `
Councillor Upton takes the Radcliffe on Trent seat from Mrs Kay Cutts MBE, who also served as Leader of Nottingham County Council.
